Botswana: water and land
The Delta by mokoro, the north by vehicle, no shared sightings.

Botswana works when the plan is slower: water, a private concession, and camps that do not queue for the same sighting. It is the safari for people who have already been on safari.
We confirm season and party size before we propose nights, because some camps have minimum ages and all of them are small.
Private concessions in the Okavango Delta, where water and land camps give two different safaris in one trip; the Linyanti and Savuti for predators; the Makgadikgadi salt pans for meerkats, quad bikes and the largest sky in Africa. Chobe is the riverfront finish if you want elephant in numbers.
Light aircraft hop between camps in under an hour. Days mix game drives with mokoro trips, boat safaris and walking, depending on the camp. Three camps in nine nights is the classic shape. Victoria Falls, an hour's flight away, makes a natural start or end.
Couples and small groups who value exclusivity over cost, and anyone who has done one safari and wants something quieter. May to October is dry and the Delta is full; November to April is green, hot and much better value, with newborn animals and spectacular birding.
