Oman for two
Mountains, wadis, and a coast that is still quiet.

Why go
Oman is the quiet alternative in the Gulf. The mountains behind Muscat climb to cool air and terraced villages; the wadis are green; the coast has turtles and almost nobody else.
We plan it as a private drive with a guide, moving from the city to the mountains to the sand and back to the sea.
Oman is the calm, cultured corner of the Gulf: forts and souks in Muscat and Nizwa, wadis you can swim in, and the Wahiba Sands an easy drive away. Mountain camps on the Jebel Akhdar give cool evenings even in the warmer months.
It works well for couples who want sun with substance, and for families once children are old enough to enjoy a day in the dunes. We fly you in and arrange a private driver-guide for the whole stay.

Safe, welcoming and varied: wadis to swim in, dunes, turtles on the beach and a long coastline. Distances are manageable from Muscat.
October to April. The summer is very hot on the coast, though the Dhofar monsoon makes the far south green in July and August.
