Swiss chalet week
A catered chalet, a private instructor, and evenings already handled.

Switzerland · Family holidays
A chalet with a nanny, ski school a short walk away, and a village that works for children.
Swiss villages are real villages, which matters with children: a bakery, a train, a sledging run. The chalet has a nanny arranged and ski school is a short walk.
Gstaad and Zermatt are the usual answers. Verbier works for teenagers.
Resorts with ski schools in English, gentle nursery slopes near the village, and plenty to do off the snow: Zermatt, Grindelwald, Villars and Klosters all work. In summer the same mountains offer lakes, cable cars, hikes a six-year-old can finish, and trains that are an outing in themselves.
Children in ski school for the mornings, family skiing after lunch, and an early supper in a chalet or family-focused hotel. In summer the day is a mountain outing with a swim at the end. A chalet with staff removes almost all logistics; a good family hotel gives a children's club and a pool.
Families with children from about four for skiing, from any age for summer. February half-term and Easter for skiing; July and August for the mountains in summer, when the weather is warm and the days are long.
