How the journey unfolds
- Days 1–2
Ngorongoro
Arrive at the crater rim. A full morning in the crater the following day.
- Days 3–6
Mobile camp
Fly or drive to the Serengeti mobile camp. Long days with the herds; a walking safari where permitted.
- Days 7–9
Private concession
A short flight to a private concession for the last nights. Fewer vehicles, longer mornings.
- Day 10
Depart
Fly to Arusha or Kilimanjaro, or on to the coast.

Questions about this journey
Should we add Zanzibar?
Three or four nights on the coast after a safari is a classic. We arrange the flight and the right hotel for the party.
When should we travel for the migration?
The herds are in the south from December to March for calving, and in the north at the Mara River from July to October. We move the camps to match the month you choose.
How long do we spend at the crater?
Two nights. One full day on the crater floor is enough; it is extraordinary but busy, and the plains afterwards feel like a reward.
