Each journey is one we have built before: nights, pacing, stays and a guide price. Yours will be redrawn around your dates, your party and how you like to travel.
Nothing quite right? That is normal.
Most journeys we design do not start from a template. Tell us the feeling and the dates; a specialist will write the first draft.

Planning a journey
What does a guide price include?
The stays, private guiding and transfers described on the journey page, for the nights shown, per person sharing. International flights are quoted separately. Every proposal we send lists exactly what is and is not included.
Can a journey be lengthened or combined with another?
Yes. Most of our itineraries began as a combination of two shorter ideas. Tell us the dates you have and we will redraw the route around them.
How far ahead should we plan?
Six to twelve months for peak seasons such as the migration, Christmas and February half term, because the small camps and chalets we prefer fill first. Shorter notice is often possible outside those windows.
Is anything booked when we enquire?
No. An enquiry starts a conversation and a written proposal. Nothing is reserved until you have seen the plan and the price and asked us to go ahead.
