Argentina for couples

Buenos Aires, a Patagonian estancia and a vineyard lodge in Mendoza, with the pace set by the two of you.

Argentina for two is a city, a wilderness and a wine region in one trip: tango and late dinners in Buenos Aires, a glacier and an estancia in Patagonia, then a lodge among the vines with the Andes behind. The distances are long and the contrasts worth them.

Tell us how many nights and how much of the trip should be wild. Ten to fourteen is right.

Where we go

Buenos Aires in Palermo or Recoleta, El Calafate for the Perito Moreno glacier and an estancia with horses, and Mendoza for a vineyard lodge. Iguazú or the Lake District as an alternative third act.

How the week runs

A private guide in each region for the first day, then independent time. An estancia day with riding and an asado, a boat among the icebergs, a day among the vineyards with lunch at a winery. Flights between regions, timed to avoid dawn departures.

Who it suits and when

Honeymoons, anniversaries and couples who like good food and long views. October to April for Patagonia; March for the harvest in Mendoza.

Best time
November to March for Patagonia. Mendoza and Buenos Aires are good most of the year.
Suits
Honeymoons · Anniversaries and milestones · Couples who travel often and want something quieter
