Argentina expeditions
Patagonia's trails and glaciers, the Lake District and a private estancia, with the wind planned for.

Why go
Argentina is a long country and a long trip. Buenos Aires for a few nights, Patagonia for the glaciers and the wind, and Mendoza for the vineyards is the classic shape.
We plan the flights carefully and choose estancias and lodges that make the distance feel like part of the point.
Argentina is big enough that each region is its own trip: Buenos Aires for tango, steak and architecture; Mendoza for wine among the vines; Patagonia for glaciers and the mountains of the Fitz Roy range; the Iberá wetlands for wildlife. Internal flights link them in a few hours.
Our seasons are reversed here. Patagonia opens from November to March; the north and the city are good most of the year. A two-week private journey usually combines the capital with two regions.

Good to know
Twelve to sixteen nights for the city, Patagonia, and Mendoza.
Yes. Torres del Paine is just across the border and combines well.
Twelve to sixteen nights covers Buenos Aires, Patagonia and one more region, such as Mendoza or the north-west. Internal flights are long, so we cluster regions.
November to March, with December to February the most settled for trekking. The shoulder months are quieter and the autumn colours in April are remarkable.
