Scenic Eclipse I and II are 228-guest discovery yachts carrying helicopters and a submersible, with a genuinely all-inclusive fare; Scenic's river ships bring the same inclusive approach to Europe's rivers.

Scenic Eclipse is for travellers who want the toys. Two helicopters and a submersible, a large expedition team, ten dining experiences and a fare that includes almost everything make it one of the most complete expedition products at sea, and the yachts are comfortable enough for guests who would never call themselves adventurous.

On the rivers, Scenic's Space-Ships are inclusive, well run and quietly luxurious, and suit grandparents travelling with adult children well.

On board

What Scenic is actually like

Four honest notes, in our words, on the things people ask us about most.

Suites
All-suite with verandas on Scenic Eclipse; suites are generous for an expedition yacht and the Owner's Penthouses are very large. River ships have Scenic's signature sun-lounge balconies.
Dining
Up to ten dining experiences on Eclipse including Asian fusion and a chef's table; on the river, two restaurants and the all-inclusive drinks that Scenic is known for.
Facilities
Two helicopters and a submarine on Eclipse, a large spa, zodiacs and kayaks; river ships have e-bikes, a small pool and a lively evening programme.
Children
No children's club at sea or on the river; Eclipse works for older teenagers who want adventure, the river ships for adult families and grandparents.

Who it's for

  • Travellers who want the fullest expedition toolkit in comfort
  • Couples and adult families who like everything included
  • Grandparents and adult children on a European river

Who it isn't for

  • Families with young children
  • Anyone who wants a large pool deck and big-ship entertainment
  • Travellers who dislike a busy daily programme

June and September are ideal; July and August are hot and busy; October still swims.

Greek Islands

Small ships, island overnights, and a late season that runs into October.

The walled old town of Dubrovnik and its harbour from above
May to June and September; July and August are warm and busy.

Adriatic & Croatia

Venice, Dubrovnik and Kotor in a week, on ships small enough for the old harbours.

Geirangerfjord from Flydalsjuvet, a cruise ship small against the mountains
June to August for the light and the warmest weather; May and September are quieter.

Norwegian Fjords

No long flight, dramatic scenery from your terrace, and a season made for grandparents.

Icebergs in the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, Iceland
June to August; Svalbard from late June when the ice allows.

Iceland & the Arctic

Expedition comfort around Iceland, Greenland and Svalbard, without giving up the butler.
