Overview

Silver Dawn entered service in 2021, the third Muse-class ship, with around 600 guests, eight restaurants, S.A.L.T. dining and Otium, Silversea's wellness program that reaches into the suites.

Dawn is Moon's near twin with one addition: Otium, a spa and wellness program that extends to in-suite treatments and a very good thermal area. The ship is calm, elegant and grown-up.

It suits couples and grandparents who want a quiet week with excellent food and a spa worth using. The Mediterranean, the Adriatic and the Caribbean are its usual waters.

The fare

The Silversea sailings we would shortlist run from about $8,300 to $17,600 per person for 9 to 10 nights, depending on ship, suite, season and itinerary.

What that includes

Butler service in every suite; Drinks and dining; Gratuities and Wi-Fi; Door-to-door option with flights and transfers; Expedition activities on expedition ships. Anything not on that list, we price alongside the fare so there is no surprise on board.

Around the ship

Flights, hotel nights before and after, private transfers and any excursions outside the fare sit on top. Your proposal sets out the cruise fare and additional costs so you can compare the full trip.

Children, grandparents, mobility

Silver Dawn for the whole family

Three honest notes: what the ship does for children, what it does for grandparents, and what it asks of anyone with limited mobility.

Children
No children's club and nothing laid on for them; not our pick for a party with children.
Grandparents
Quiet, butler-served, food-led and with a spa that does house calls. Among the best ships for a couple's milestone trip.
Accessibility
A small number of accessible suites; many Mediterranean calls alongside, some by tender. We check each itinerary.

Planning for the whole family?

Connecting suites, different activity levels, dining that works for everyone, and transfers that suit grandparents and toddlers alike. The best family suites go first, so start early.

Our promise

We will say no.

We do not recommend a cruise because it is expensive, and we do not put people on the wrong ship. If Silver Dawn is not right for your party, we will tell you and suggest the one that is, even if it costs less or is sold by someone else. We are an advisor, not a booking engine.
